An online booking system will be introduced at six Household Recycling Centres (HRCs), with bookings opening on 8 September and pre-booked visits commencing from 14 September. From then on you cannot use one of these HRCs without booking.

It will initially be a pilot scheme to assess how it works, and will operate at the following sites:
• Devizes
• Lower Compton (near Calne)
• Melksham
• Purton
• Salisbury
• Stanton St Quintin (Chippenham)

Residents using these sites will initially be able to book a 30-minute time slot up to one week in advance, with some same-day appointments also available. Wilts Council will regularly review slot durations throughout the pilot to ensure sufficient site capacity is available.
